Bright New Vintage Sheet Quilt

Last week I finished this custom order for a lovely friend from high school!

It has been a while since I have done a vintage sheet quilt from start to finish so it was good fun to see it all come together!

It was also the first time I used spray basting and I don't think I can do any other way now!

This lovely quilt is now settling into a new home!

  1. I love this!!! I really want to make a vintage sheet quilt, I guess I'd better start collecting! Any suggestions how to proceed?

    1. Thanks so much! The best way to start is to pop into your local op-shops and see if they have any lovely sheets / fabric. Then keep an eye out for vintage sheet swaps where you can swap fabrics! I think there might be one coming up soon!

  3. Doesn't the spray baste gum up your machine works? It's an attractive choice but I'm allergic to too many adhesives. LeeAnna at not afraid of color lapaylor.blogspot.com

    1. Hi - I had no trouble with the machine - it was so smooth and awesome! Sad that you are allergic to adhesives - I hope you can find a good alternative!

  6. Looks great! I've had a lot of fun collecting vintage sheets from yardsales this summer. When the days turn cold I'll have to pull them out and feel spring-y again!
