Gregory Crewdson's Twilight series has been a pivotal influence for my current project. I love his use of dramatic sets and lighting as well as the eerie suburban setting.

I have begun investigating themes of memory, perception and photography this week for my project. In my searches I found this work by Phylliss Crowley - I love it!
It is from the series 'Earthly and Heavenly Bodies' series.

She LOVES to model clothes for her Mum!
Back with Buttons
This week I finished this dress I was working on...the design is from the book 'Carefree Clothes for Girls' slightly amended and downsized to a size 3-4.
The fabric is Alannah Hill corduroy.
I will put it in my shop soon....hopefully with some more clothes....I had better get to work!

For this first month I am collating images of inspiration into a group of visual diaries and beginning research into artists that have taken my fancy.
Some examples of some awesome visual diaries are below:
They are a great way to bring together everything you love and to begin the flow of creativity.

I can't believe it has been a year since I started the Amelie and Atticus Photography and Craft Challenge - it has finally reached it's conclusion after 12 months and I would like to thank everyone who took part!
It was a great experience for me to get back into crafting and shooting and has led me into my next project for this blog which will be a refinement and more focused vision.
Over the next year I am going create an exhibition from beginning to end through the stages of research and development to shooting, editing and exhibiting. I hope that from this process you can develop your own project or gain inspiration or education through my processes.
The crafting, inspiration and giveaways will continue as well!
I hope that you will continue with me on this journey of creation!
