Superman Bloomers

Last week I made some Super Bloomers for an adorable new addition to this world...baby Phoenix!

I hope they give him additional super powers....he's already super-cute!

This is the one where...

I sewed the lining where the main fabric should have been...and then reinforced it with tiny stitches before I realised my mistake.

The un-picker and I are now fast friends!

There's No Place Like Home Jamies

For my birthday I received this lovely Dorothy PJ top:

So this week I set about making matching PJ pants to complete the set.

I traced them off a pair that fits well, made a simple elastic waistband, added a ruby red ribbon and they were done:

Make It Count

This week we returned to swimming lessons!

The girls were so excited...I was less so but they love them so it's worth it!

We also did some lovely water colours with food colouring...

...made some cherry earrings...

...and Amelie played make up...here is her diy job of Draculaura....pretty scary!

And where is Clementine you say?

She is off napping, toilet training, and generally running out of the frame before I can catch her!

Hopefully I can wrangle up some cute shots of her this week!

Here's one to keep you till next week...Clementine enjoying some delicious ice cream on our holiday!

Work In Progress - Crochet Rainbow Blanket

I've been playing around with this project for a while...mostly at Brown Owls meetings...so the progress has been slow...but it is starting to come together:

I certainly have some loose ends to tie up!

Make It Count - Holiday Edition

We've been off on a small holiday down the coast to celebrate my birthday and to Buckenderra to celebrate my father in law's 70th!

It was a great trip...the weather could have been warmer but what can do?!?!

Awesome fun was had by all and now we need another holiday to recover!

On returning home Amelie styled her grass haired girl who was finally growing some long locks...now she has to start again!

I hope you have been having some exciting adventures too...what has been going on in your neck of the woods?

Awesome New Fabric

In addition to the fun prints I used on the summer capes I recently got some awesome fabric...

The first above was discovered by my husband...it's the first time he's ever encouraged me to buy fabric!

I loved it too so I got enough to make a dress and have some off cuts for Andy to put up in his studio!

The lovely Alex from Rabbit Hutch Designs brought me back this gorgeous Liberty of London fabric from the mothership (actual Liberty in London)

So there is going to be some great sewing for me in the future!

Stay tuned!

Summer Capes

This week we got back from a little holiday and I made some summer capes!

I had only planned to make a couple but when I went on a fabric hunt I couldn't resist the beautiful fabrics...so I ended up with 11 lovely summer capes with brims!

Featuring cameos by Amelie and Clementine's foot:

Interesting Tales....
