Super Simple 5 Minute T-Shirt Dress Tutorial
This super simple method of re-fashioning an adult tee to a child's dress became my favourite during my recent run of up-cycling!
An excellent way to transform your old tees - preserving them for future generations!
Step 1 - Cut a curve into the tee on both sides as above. If your print allows it you can cut the underarm a little higher.
You can choose to trim the sleeve edges and hem as I did or leave them if they are not too big/long!
Step 2 - With right sides together overlock side seams together. If you do not have an overlocker you can use a small zig-zag stitch to join them!
Step 3 - Fold bottom hem and sleeve hems over twice and stitch!
BAM!
So quick and simple you will have a new mini wardrobe in no time!
You can also add shirring to the shoulders as below,
or shirring to the back to make it more fitted:
