    My favorite from To Kill A Mockingbird? That would be Atticus Finch..so calm and cool and rightous.... My favorite character in any book is Doc from Cannery Row... for the same sort of reasons but he has more of a realistic bent... ie he has more human foibles!

    Definitely Atticus Finch! The Characters willingness to support social outcasts & victims of prejudice is the eponymous inspiration for the reason we named our son... Atticus :)
    My fav line from the book is "If you can learn a simple trick, Scout, you'll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view, until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it". Such an important moral to use in life! ALSO HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your little man!!!
