Purple Vintage Sheet Quilt Top

To create this lovely purple quilt top I was running low on purple vintage sheet squares, so I added some vintage style fabrics I found at spotlight:

This week I thought I'd share my simple quilting process with you!

After cutting out millions of wee squares I divide them into 9 piles of 12, hopefully of the same colour / shade or similar.

I then do strips of three, press, sew the three strips together to create a 9 patch and press.

 Once all the squares are completed I lay them out and play around till the patterns work.

Next I sew 4 strips together to form each row.

Then finally sew the three rows together and you have an awesome quilt top ready to go!
